History of Novin Plastic

The history of printing in the Golestanian family dates back many years, to a time when the lighting in print workshops was provided by oil lamps. Mehdi Golestanian, the father of Iran’s printing industry and the founder of the Iran Zamin Industrial Group, spent his childhood alongside his brothers by the printing machines.

The first printing house of the Golestanian family was founded by Seyed Ali-Mohammad Mousavi Golestaneh, Mehdi Golestanian’s grandfather, who was a trader in India. His acquaintance with printing began after meeting a person named Moayed Al-Islam in India, who was the editor of the Hablu’l-Matin newspaper. He established the Hablu’l-Matin printing house in India in 1880. After the 1900 revolution in India, Ali-Mohammad Mousavi returned to Iran and, using a few small and large lithographic and lead printing machines, established the Hablu’l-Matin printing house in Isfahan.

In 1948, Mehdi Golestanian moved to Tehran and established the Mahdieh Printing House. Over the years, Golestanian Printing and Ziba Printing also came into existence.

Continuing his printing activities, Mehdi Golestanian founded Techno Print, which is known today as Iran Zamin Printing, in 1973. By acquiring the best rotogravure and flexographic printing machines, he started producing and printing packaging wrappers for food, pharmaceutical, dairy, and cosmetic products.

After the revolution, Techno Print was renamed Iran Zamin. Despite the pressures of the Iran-Iraq war and a major fire in 1984, the company continued its activities, always striving to grow, develop, and update the technical knowledge of the company and its personnel. By separating its productions into four independent factories to meet all the needs of the group and other colleagues, and establishing itself on a 50,000-square-meter land in the Hashtgerd Industrial City, along with replacing the latest machinery, the development plan was realized, transforming into the Iran Zamin Industrial Group. Today, with over 250 specialized personnel and holding manufacturing licenses from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education for all its products, along with mandatory standard certificates and ISO 9001/2000 certification, the company is a formidable competitor for all printing and packaging needs. Mehdi Golestanian, with 70 years of experience in the printing industry, as the manager of the Iran Zamin Industrial Group, received an honorary plaque from the Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance, being recognized as a distinguished and veteran figure in the country’s printing industry, further enhancing the group’s collection of awards and plaques.
